Records of St. Joseph Cemetery of Niagara Falls
Part of the Buffalo State College Regional History Collection
About the project:
The collection was digitally scanned in The Monroe Fordham Regional History Center at
Buffalo State College by volunteers at St. Joseph’s parish over the course of a year. The material was then later assembled and formatted by Chris Root; Special Projects Assistant at the Monroe Fordham Regional History Center. This project was arranged by Pete Ames and the Friends of Local History Department at the Niagara Falls Public Library.
Copies are housed at:
The Buffalo State College Archives and
The Monroe Fordham Regional History Center
A note to researchers:
The collection was scanned exactly how it is stored at the rectory. There are 3 files containing cemetery records. Each file is then organized alphabetically.
- The 1st file is compiled from the older sections of the cemetery.
- The 2nd is compiled of newer sections of the cemetery – this can be as early as the 1950’s. Researchers may have to look through the 1st & 2nd files if they are looking for a specific name and/or family.
- The 3rd file contains records for the mausoleums.
